NAC International congratulates the Interim Storage Partners (ISP) team on successfully obtaining an NRC license for a consolidated interim storage facility for used nuclear fuel. As a project participant, NAC worked to support the licensing of the ISP project and to ensure NAC cask technology is covered under the license for ISP deployment.  For more information in this announcement, please go to the link below:

OPTIMUS-H Transport Packaging

NAC International Inc. (NAC) announced that a second model of its versatile OPTIMUS® transport packaging system has received certification from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC). Known as the OPTIMUS-H version for its capability to accommodate high activity nuclear waste, the system is now approved under CNSC Certificate Number CDN/2098/B(U)F-96 (Rev. 0) effective August 18, 2021.

NAC International is proud to support the American Nuclear Society (ANS) Navigating Nuclear, a fact-based K-12 nuclear science and technology curriculum designed to provide educators with free resources that explore the benefits and misconceptions surrounding nuclear science. ANS teamed up with the Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy and Discovery Education to create the program.

This announcement by Doosan was related to a portion of NAC’s DCS supply to a U.S. customer.  Doosan is an experienced and proven supplier of nuclear components with an NQA-1 quality program and has a deep resume of large nuclear component fabrication success.

Peachtree Corners, GA – NAC International Inc. (NAC) has received certification for the OPTIMUS®-L version of its versatile OPTIMUS® transport packagings from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC).

NAC received certification from the CNSC on July 24 for its OPTIMUS -L packaging, designed for contact handled-transuranic waste (TRU), intermediate-level waste, low-enriched uranium (LEU) fuel wastes, and other contents typically shipped as Type A(F) or Type B.
