Peachtree Corners, GA, June 2, 2020 – NAC International welcomes Mr. Dave Culp as Director of Fuel Cycle Consulting, where he will lead the company’s consulting activities related to the nuclear fuel cycle. He reports to Michael McMahon, Vice President of Consulting and Strategic Projects at NAC.

Mr. Culp was previously employed as General Manager, Nuclear Fuels and Analysis at Duke Energy, where he was responsible for all aspects of nuclear fuel management at the 11 nuclear units owned and operated by Duke. His responsibilities included fuel mechanical design/analysis, control component design, fuel performance, fuel reload core design and safety analysis, fuel reload analysis methods and licensing, procurement/contracting of nuclear fuel and spent fuel storage, spent fuel management, special nuclear material control & accountability, and probabilistic risk assessment. He also served as Acting Vice President of Nuclear Engineering at Duke Energy prior to its merger with Progress Energy in 2012.

He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from the University of South Carolina. Mr. Culp has served as chairman of the World Nuclear Fuel Market Board of Governors. He has also served as chairman of the Ad Hoc Utilities Group.
