Hitachi Zosen Corporation in JV for Used Fuel Systems Fabrication

Hitachi Zosen Corporation, parent company of NAC International Inc., and Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO) established a joint venture (JV) for production of used fuel storage and transportation cask systems.
The company name is Tousou Mirai Manufacturing Company Limited, formed to build a manufacturing plant in the Hamadori area of Fukushima Prefecture, where they plan to produce used fuel transport and storage casks as well as storage containers for used fuel debris from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station.
