Yves Brachet

Mr. Yves Brachet has over 40 years of professional experience including 37 years in the nuclear industry.  He started his career in Fast Breeder Reactor design at Superphénix in 1980.  

From 1991 to 2000, Mr. Brachet served as the Operations Director and then COO of Transnucléaire (TN), where he obtained extensiveknowledge and experience in the design and manufacturing of numerous transport and storage packages and casks, as well as transportation of nuclear materials.

From 2000 to 2004, he served as Nuclear Director and then COO of ENDEL, a leader in industrial maintenance and energy services to various industries including nuclear, where he acquired broad experience in social relationships with unions, typical of this type of industry.

In 2004, Mr. Brachet moved to Westinghouse to lead the development of the Services and Fuel business for EDF in France.  After achieving rapid growth and success in the Services and Fuel business in France, he assumed leadership of Westinghouse - Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), serving as its President from 2010 to 2016. 

During this period, he was also a member of the Board of Westinghouse Electric Company.  From 2016 to 2020, Mr. Brachet served as Senior Vice President of D&D and Spent Fuel at Westinghouse.  

In 2020, Mr. Brachet created his own structure “Afterwork YB” to share his great experience in nuclear business.

Yves Brachet holds a degree in Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Paris and holds a PhD in Structural Mechanics (Docteur-Ingénieur) from Paris VI University, as well as various business degrees.
