Mr. Aidos Bekturganov is a multidisciplinary expert in global private and public project management and strategic market development. He has over 15 years of broad government and commercial experience which includes nuclear fuel markets, partnerships, international trade, cross-border transactions and compliance matters, market intelligence, and analysis with an emphasis on the Central Asian region.

His prior work involved representing the world’s leading uranium producer, JSC National Atomic Company Kazatomprom, and its subsidiaries on the North American nuclear fuels markets, managing major government projects in the areas of IT and R&D as the head of the Special Projects Department at JSC National Science and Technology Holding SAMGHAU of Kazakhstan, and implementing bilateral defense cooperation programs between the United States and Kazakhstan as the Assistant Division Chief for U.S. Programs at Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Defense. He also provides independent consulting services in the areas of energy, R&D, technology transfer, and military/industrial. Early in his career, he was a research analyst for Jane’s Information Group (janes.com), a trusted global source for defense intelligence since 1898.

Mr. Bekturganov holds a master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies specializing in Strategic Studies and International Economics as well as a bachelor’s degree from Towson University in International Studies. His additional training includes certifications in finance, WMD counterproliferation, security assistance management, and international trade.
